What Is Worship Like at Bethany Baptist Church?
Classes are available for children as young as four years old up to seniors in high school. These classes give them an opportunity to grow spiritually and learn vital biblical truths at a young age. There is also an adult bible Study class that meets in the auditorium. These classes begin at 10 a.m. and conclude at 10:50 a.m.
Sunday Morning and Evening Services – 11 A.M. and 5 P.M.
Every Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday night the worship service is held in the Main Auditorium with Pastor Ronnie Brown. As you walk in, our friendly membership will greet you and be available for you to help you and answer any questions you may have.
We believe in having a church service with good, uplifting hymns and spiritual songs that will stir and inspire you, prayer, and practical preaching of the Word of God from our pastor.
Singing and Special Music
Every service gives you an opportunity to join us in singing hymns and spiritual songs. We will also heart stirring special singing from our membership.
We are a church that believes in prayer. Throughout the worship service, we will spend time together in prayer. We also encourage you to join us on Wednesday night where we corporately seek the Lord in an extended time of prayer.
We consider the preaching of the Word of God to be the centerpiece of the service. 1 Corinthians 1:21 reads, “…it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.” Each service, Brother Ronnie will bring an expositional message from the Word of God that will plainly and practically communicate the truth of God’s word.
At the end of the message, our pastor will extend an invitation. This is a time for many to respond and make life-changing decisions. The decision may be to trust Christ as personal Savior or to grow deeper in your commitment to follow Christ. Whatever your decision may be, the altar is always open at Bethany. For others, this is a time to bring needs to the Lord in prayer.
If you would like someone to pray for you or would like to make your decision public, some of our loving membership will pray with you and do what they cane to help you.
We celebrate the decisions to follow Christ that have been made as new believers follow the Lord in believer’s baptism. The Bible teaches that baptism is an act of obedience after a decision is made to follow Christ. Baptism is a public profession of faith. If you have trusted Christ and have never been baptized, we encourage you to make your way to the front during the invitation and tell the member that comes to assist you that you have come to publicly follow Christ in believer’s baptism.
Wednesday Evening of Prayer – 7:00 P.M.
Wednesday nights are special at Bethany. During this mid-week service, Bro. Ronnie not only faithfully exposits the scriptures with spiritually nourishing truth, but he also leads in a special time of prayer. Each week, we spend time together in corporate prayer, intercessory prayer, and testimony of answered prayer. Prayer is the focus of this service. You don’t want to miss this most special time together with the family of God.
