Lord’s Supper Observance

Sunday Evening Worship (5th Sunday)

Every fifth Sunday night we have a special worship service. The whole service is dedicated to observing the Lord’s Supper. Jesus told His disciples to have a speical meal where they remember who He is, what He has done for them, and what He has promised them. We follow in the footsteps of the Apostles in this special time of worship.

Many churches and denominations observe the Lord’s Supper on very different schedules. Some observe the supper weekly. While others observe it annually. While still others don’e observe it at all. We at Bethany feel that to obeserve it on the fifth Sunday night is not so regular that it is taken for granted and yet not so irregular that it is considered rare and forgotten.

The Lord’s Supper table at Bethany Baptist Church is an open communion, meaning that all born again believes are invited to partake of this special meal.
